2010 has been an interesting year for Lance Armstrong, to say the least.
He finished in the top 10 at three races, his best finish being third in the Tour of Luxembourg. But he was forced out of three other races because of illnesses and a crash.
The 38-year-old Armstrong, who won the Tour de France seven times during the prime of his career, suffered some bad luck at the 2010 Tour in the form of crashes and flat tires occurring at the absolute wrong times. He finished the event -- the last Tour of his career -- in 23rd place, 39 minutes, 20 seconds behind winner Alberto Contador.
Off-the-road issues, however, have cast a dark cloud over Armstrong. Former US Postal Service teammate Floyd Landis has accused him of doping and fraud, and ex-rival Greg LeMond, who won three Tours de France, recently said there is "overwhelming" evidence against Armstrong.
Armstrong has never failed a drug test, and he has flatly denied every allegation thrown his way. LeMond is due in federal court July 30 to testify against Armstrong and his associates.
