Yes, you read the preceding sentence correctly - as reported by the Ottawa Citizen, former Olympic figure skater Kurt Browning put a very solid bronzing on his home when a fire broke out due to the aforementioned leaf blower seat-drying method he attempted to employ on his Porsche.
The good news is that no one (Browning's pets included) was injured, so we feel entitled to have at least a medium-sized laugh about this (though Browning is likely not chuckling about the estimated $1 million - which we presume to be Canadian dollars - that his home incurred in damage).
One thing we can't stop smiling at, however, is this sentence from the Ottawa Citizen story: "Toronto Fire Services Division Commander Bob O'Hallarn said the blaze was preventable, adding that use of a leaf blower is not the best way to dry the interior of a vehicle."
What are the chances that Bob made that statement while desperately but unsuccessfully attempting to keep a straight face?
