Meb Keflezighi led an American contingent that placed six runners in the top 10. Keflezighi's personal-best time of two hours, 9 minutes, 15 seconds comes two years after suffering a near-career-ending hip injury during the Olympic Trials in New York City.
• Last NYC Marathoner finishes in 28 hrs, 45 minutes Posted Nov 3 4:30a ET By Associated Press Sixty-one-year-old Zoe Koplowitz had her trademark purple crutches wrapped around each forearm as she crossed the finish line in Manhattan's Central Park at 11:15 a.m., more than one day after the official start of the New York City Marathon.

• Return of the queen: Tulu takes New York Posted Nov 1 12:28p ET By Joe Battaglia, Universal Sports In what was supposed to be Paula Radcliffe's moment, it was another champion that rose to the occasion in New York. Derartu Tulu, the 1992 Olympic gold medalist, sprinted through Central Park to win the final World Marathon Major of the season. Tulu crossed in 2:28:52 and was followed by Ludmila Petrova of Russia and Christelle Daunay of France.
