Apolo Ohno won the men's 1000m final on Sunday, one of three medals the U.S. earned on the last day of racing at an ISU World Cup short track meet in Marquette, Mich.
Ohno, who finished second in Saturday's 1500m event, crossed the line in 1 minute, 30.420 seconds on Sunday for the victory. He later skated on the 5000m relay team that placed second to Canada.
Finishing second in the men's 1000m was South Korean Lee Sung-Ju in 1:30.450, while Canadian Francois Hamelin placed third (1:30.506).
Earlier in the day, American Katherine Reutter took silver in the women's 1000m final to China's Wang Meng in a photo finish. Wang (1:31.005) was just able to hold of Reutter, who recorded a time of 1:31.081.
The U.S. women's 3000m relay did not advance to the A final, but finished second in the B race. China won the A final.
The Marquette meet was the fourth and final stop on the World Cup circuit. US Speedskating will use the results from both Marquette and Montreal, which was held Nov. 5-8, to make its final choices on who competes at the Vancouver Olympics and in which events.
Apolo Ohno and Katherine Reutter are among the skaters on the U.S. Olympic roster.
