FRANKFURT (AP)—The German cycling union says Olaf Pollack’s “B” sample confirmed the former track Olympic champion tested positive for doping.
The union did not reveal which substance was involved. Pollack was suspended two months ago and faces a two-year ban.
The cyclist won a gold medal in the team sprint at the 2000 Olympics and was silver medalist at last year’s world championships. Pollack also competed in road races and wore the leader’s pink jersey for the T-Mobile team at the 2006 Giro d’Italia.
