KVITFJELL, Norway (AP) -- Olympic super-G bronze medalist Andrew Weibrecht has dislocated his shoulder in a crash and will miss next week’s World Cup season finale.

The 24-year-old from Lake Placid, N.Y., lost his balance during a World Cup downhill race Saturday in Kvitfjell, Norway, after a long jump. He tumbled over several times and slammed into the safety netting. Weibrecht clutched his right shoulder as race officials helped him out of the netting.

The U.S. Ski Team says Weibrecht will not race at the season finale next week in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.

Didier Cuche of Switzerland won Saturday’s race to wrap up the downhill title.
