    USOC calls an audible

    Paul Tagliabue, the former NFL commissioner, was named to head a U.S. Olympic Committee panel asked to take a look at whether a widespread USOC reform plan launched six years ago itself ought to be reformed. As Alan Abrahamson writes, Tagliabue will head an independent panel charged with assessing the USOC board of directors.

    The countdown to the party in British Columbia has begun. With less than 100 days to go until the 2010 Winter Games officially begin, Vancouver city officials handed over the athletes village to Olympics organizers, and U.S. Olympic hopefuls celebrated in New York City to respectively commemorate the milestone.
